En el mundo de los Duelos de Monstruos, una nueva camada de duelistas se prepara para alcanzar el codiciado título de Rey de los Duelos. Entre ellos se encuentra el optimista Jaden Yuki, quien ingresa a la Academia de Duelos, una prestigiosa escuela dedicada a formar a estos futuros campeones.
Al llegar tarde a su examen de admisión por su despreocupada actitud, Jaden recibe de manos de un enigmático personaje la carta "Kuriboh Alado", que se convertirá en su fiel compañero. Así comienza su vida como duelista, pero ¿estará preparado para que el destino y la oscuridad transformen su realidad de formas inimaginables?
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX narra la travesía de Jaden y sus amigos mientras persiguen su sueño en la Academia de Duelos. Enfrentándose a situaciones inesperadas y desafíos constantes, una cosa es segura: ¡la vida en la Academia nunca será aburrida!
