En medio de un ataque devastador a su aldea, Shu y sus amigos, Jiro y Kluke, se alzan para defender su hogar. En su lucha, se cruzan con la guerrera Zola, quien les otorga el poder de la Sombra, una habilidad extraordinaria que les permite manifestar sus sombras como monstruos formidables. Shu, en particular, recibe el poder del legendario Dragón Azul, una de las criaturas más imponentes.
Con estas nuevas y asombrosas habilidades, el grupo emprende una misión épica. Su objetivo: descubrir la identidad de los misteriosos atacantes y poner fin a la amenaza que se cierne sobre su mundo.
