De la popular serie animada estadounidense, llega una nueva aventura inspirada en las intrépidas Powerpuff Girls. El brillante Profesor Utonium y su hijo Ken se encuentran inmersos en la investigación del misterioso Chemical X. Un accidente fortuito, cuando un pastel de mochi cae en la fórmula, da origen al poderoso Chemical Z.
Al disparar un rayo de esta nueva sustancia hacia una bahía de Tokio, Ken desata luces extrañas, unas negras y otras blancas, que se dispersan sin control. Las luces negras transforman a sus víctimas en monstruos, siendo el mono del zoológico uno de los primeros en convertirse en el temible Mojo Jojo.
Por otro lado, las luces blancas impactan a tres chicas comunes: Momoko, Miyako y Kaoru. Este encuentro les otorga poderes extraordinarios, permitiéndoles transformarse en las heroínas defensoras de la justicia, ¡las Powerpuff Girls Z!
