En la clase 5-2 de primaria, la vida transcurre entre risas, travesuras y las primeras punzadas de la adolescencia. Este anime sigue las cotidianas aventuras de un grupo de niños que, mientras crecen, navegan por sus juegos, chistes inocentes y los primeros malentendidos en torno a su naciente atracción por el sexo opuesto.
Ryota Satou es el protagonista, pero sus amigos son igual de cruciales para el vibrante ambiente de la escuela. Las chicas, en particular, suelen mostrar una madurez sorprendente para su edad, pero al final, demuestran ser tan infantiles y, a menudo, más "peligrosas" que los propios chicos. Es un retrato entrañable de la infancia y el despertar a nuevas emociones.
