Nana Sakurai se une a la Academia Honan cautivada por el "Stride", un deporte extremo que fusiona parkour, free running, relevos y carreras de velocidad. Comparte este entusiasmo con Takeru Fujiwara, otro estudiante de primer año obsesionado con el Stride, y ambos deciden unirse al equipo. Sin embargo, se encuentran con una decepción: el club de Stride ya no está activo por falta de miembros y opera bajo el paraguas del club de shogi.
Con el objetivo de revivir el club, Nana y Takeru reclutan a Riku Yagami, un corredor veloz y deportista nato. Con este nuevo equipo formado, su meta es clara: ganar la prestigiosa competencia "End of Summer" y devolver al equipo de Stride de Honan a su antigua gloria.
