Candy es una niña huérfana de corazón puro y espíritu optimista, que creció en el Hogar Pony junto a su querida amiga Annie. Un día, en la colina detrás del orfanato, Candy conoce a un misterioso niño que se convertirá en una figura clave en su vida: el "Príncipe de la Colina".
Su vida da un giro inesperado cuando es adoptada por la adinerada familia Leagan. Allí, Candy se enfrenta a la crueldad de Neil y su hermana Eliza. Sin embargo, en el jardín de rosas, el destino le depara un nuevo encuentro. Un joven idéntico a su "Príncipe de la Colina" aparece ante ella.
