La princesa Deijiko, oriunda del planeta Di Gi Charat, se ve conmovida por un libro que la inspira a dedicar su vida a la felicidad de los demás. Decidida a cumplir su propósito, abandona su vida en el castillo y se aventura al mundo exterior, adoptando la apariencia de una chica común.
En su misión por esparcir alegría, Deijiko emprende diversos trabajos en la ciudad, lo que le permite conocer a un sinfín de personas y forjar nuevas amistades. Sin embargo, su noble causa no está exenta de desafíos, pues también se gana la enemistad de aquellos que se oponen a sus ideales o se ven afectados por sus acciones.
